In this topic we are going to give some examples of what you can talk about in this specific topic.
Also, we don’t study this major, so it is possible there are some mistakes, so keep that in mind.
But we tried to give at least something which could help you to prepare for your Maturita.
In your classes you mainly dealt with four main subjects that are Economics, Accounting,
Transportation and Forwarding, and Applied Informatics. For each subject we gave some information
about that are most important. Also, it is also important that you give your own opinion on your
major or the subjects you studied. Lastly you can also mention certificates that you can get from studying this particular major.
The subject Economics deals with the basic economic terms. We have acquired knowledge concerning the
rules and effects of market economy. We have obtained information about a business company, its activities
based on a business plan and a market position. This subject focuses on banking, insurance finances and
foreign trade. We have learned to calculate service and product prices, to work out a financial analysis
and company budget. In the field of human resources management, we are able to determine salaries, to write
a CV and a work contract.
In our Accounting lessons we analyse the company's financial situation, we keep the books in entrepreneurial
accounting units. We try to understand the mutual relations and connections between the parts of an accounting
information system (planning, calculation, budget making, etc.). We know how to determine the property and liability
state, to depict the course of economics and accounting operations and subsequently to quantify the result of an accounting unit.
Transportation and Forwarding deals with legal norms effective for certain types of transport in home and international terms. They also deal with contracts between a transporter and a forwarder. The subject Road Transport is focused on the conditions of entrepreneurship, different international agreements and deals, setting the price for transporting services as well as the types of insurance. In our Railway Transport lessons, we concentrated on transporting conditions from the geographical point of view. Nowadays, different intermodal shipment equipment for transport is used. From the point of international business, individual delivery clauses are important. Those clauses show the duties of a contractor and the ways of shipment in detail.
Transportation and Forwarding belong to the logistic activities which can lower the costs/ expenses, Applied Informatics
shifts us towards the real practice because it connects knowledge and skills gained from different subjects (economics, accounting)
using logistic and economic software. At the end of our studies - apart from the school-leaving exam - we can obtain certificates
which guarantee our skills in their usage.
