My field of study branch C
In this topic we are going to give some examples of what you can talk about in this specific topic. Also, we didn’t studied this major, so it is possible there are some mistakes, so keep that in mind. But we tried to give at least something which could help you to prepare for your Maturita.
So in this topic, I am going to talk about field of study on the branch C, which is Transport Technology and Operations. This field is focused on vehicles, transport systems and their practical use. It combines both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This field of study consists of four main pillars: electrical engineering and electronics, mechanical engineering, diagnostics and operations.
Electrical engineering and electronics deal with electrical systems in vehicles. During your studies, you learned how direct current and alternating current work and how electricity is used in cars. You studied important components such as the battery, alternator, dynamo, starter and ignition system. You also learned about modern electronic systems, including sensors, controllers and actuators, which are used in systems like fuel injection, ABS braking system, air conditioning and safety systems.
Mechanical engineering focuses on the construction and functioning of vehicles. You learned about the main parts of a vehicle, such as the chassis, wheels, axles, suspension and control systems. You also studied petrol and diesel engines, their components and how they work, as well as gearboxes. In Engineering Technology, you learned about materials, their properties and their use in production. In Machine Parts, you learned how to design components, calculate their strength and choose suitable materials. You also worked with computer programs such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, where you created 3D models and technical drawings.
Diagnostics is mainly focused on practical skills. You learned how to perform electrical measurements and how to diagnose vehicle systems. The goal of diagnostics is to detect faults and determine the condition of different systems in a vehicle. We worked with real cars, for example Peugeot 307 CC and Citroën C2. You also learned how to diagnose systems such as brakes with ABS and fuel injection systems.
The fourth pillar is operations, which focuses on transport and business. In this subject, you learned how road transport works, how to start a transport company and how to manage transport services. You also gained knowledge about different types of transport and the use of alternative energy sources.
During your studies, you also learned many technical subjects such as road vehicles, road transport, truck traffic, engineering technology, machine parts, technical drawing, mechanics, electrical measurements and diagnostics of motor vehicles. After finishing your studies, you will be able to work as a car mechanic, start your own business in transport or vehicle service, work in a car production company or continue your studies at a technical university.
